I was convinced by an online friend to try the free edition of one antivirus. She started a discussion about Avast Home Edition and I was attracted with the way she described her satisfaction over this free antivirus. I was quite convinced with the way she expressed her satisfaction over the benefits of this antivirus. I have had so many disappointments with so many free antiviruses but this does not discourage me from trying new ones so any discussion about good performance of antivirus is an exciting issue to me. The Avast Home edition according to her is the best anti-virus she has ever proven. She said she has tried AVG, McAfee, Norton, Nod 32 and others but the best Anti-Virus is Avast. I asked her further about my worries on Avast and she gave satisfying assurance. So as I am one person who would always try possibilities for something better I downloaded the free Home edition of Avast at www.avast.com.
I am now in my second week of using Avast Home Edition. Actually at first I got initially worried because I noted that just like others, Avast provides other business versions as well so I was kind of having some prejudicial thought that this free edition will soon give me problem and this free edition is just a catch so that I will be forced to purchase an upgrade to business edition and pay yearly premium sooner or later.
Well, I think Avast Home Edition deserves some chance to be proven anyway so I downloaded it anyway. So far I’ve not regretting this download. It has been doing well. It has a Web Shield which offers protection while on the Web. Not all free anti-viruses have this provision. It has multiple shields that scan executables and files and parameters for scanning can be selected. Opening up window after window has so far has been on normal speed . I’ve not noticed any slow down on my computer so far. I’ve been using this for a week now and now on my second week actually but I have not noticed any unnecessary pop ups so far and no slowing down of computer too. Well those are satisfying for me. I hate anti-virus that slows down computer. I noted the many times it was able to intercept and detect viruses that could have destroyed my computer and I’m thankful that Avast Free Edition could do this protection. I think Avast has been successful in providing security to my computer
so far. I am now so far satisfied that Avast Home edition has satisfying features which is not common to all free antivirus softwares. Nevertheless, it is still too early for me say, It is just more than one week of using and unless it’s already a year, I can not say yet that I am fully satisfied with Avast. Nevertheless with the way the things are going I would admit Avast Home Edition has been very promising and I have high hopes that this will continue to deliver good services to me. I am keeping my fingers crossed actually!
