I can tell by just looking at it that it can't
hold a candle to freearc. In order to get the very
latest version of freearc you must visit the very
last pages of the alpha forum which will redirect
you to the russian page.
At least it's free
Doesn't work for me.
Tried dragging and dropping a folder to create a
7zip archive. No luck. Created and 8 byte
corrupted file.
Tried again, this time creating the archive file
first and then adding the folder afterwards.
It created a 1.3 Mb corrupted file.
This is full of fail.
This last beta look very good, almost all bug are
gone. Now the icons for IZArc are there:

The best , I've been using it on my computers , tech computers and customer computers for about 4 years , 5300 service orders with this application installed without issue , handles everything and has a slick interface , can't ask for much more.
This is a freeware utility tool that decompresses or unpacks compressed files. I downloaded this program because I was frustrated when I could not get to unzip this file with a .cab extension. Luckily, though, I found this one from a software directory and it had a lot of rave reviews. First of all I must say that this program is everything I need when it comes to unzipping compressed files. Before, I had problems using Winzip because it can unzip only a few file types and I had to buy it. Winrar, on the other hand, is fine and is pretty good but then, I still have problems with unzipping some other file types, too. But this one solves all my problems because it can support a lot more file extensions like .gzip, .tar, .rar, .zip, .cab, .tar and .lzh. among others. It is lightweight, it does not crash, and it has occasional updates. It lets me choose if I want to instantly open the files I just unpacked or not. It has an easy-to-use user interface which lets me unzip or unpack many files all at the same time, and best of all it is free. It has no ads or blatant links. It even lets me zip or compress my files. I think this program beat a lot of commercial utility tools in terms of the number of extensions it can support and its ease of use. I highly recommend this program if you are looking for a way to unzip or unpack compressed files without paying anything.
My favorite archiver. I was beginning to worry that IZARC was going out of development, because this update has been such a long time coming. Likes: Ability to delete an open archive, Supports more archive types, supports more ISO type images than the others, great shell context menu, very nice GUI, small but nice skins. Dislikes: It's not portable. No "Open Archive with IZARC" in Context Menu for SFX files, brown system icons, no "background" button in extract dialog, must re-boot after uninstall, it's just a tad slower than 7-Zip and WinRAR.

Development cycle is slow or has come to a stand still but in my opinion, its the best free archiving utility out there.
Its a freeware and so there is no reason to complain. Obviously developer has to earn his bread elsewhere. It works very well and thats all counts.
